Natural gas is a hydrocarbon gas mixture composed primarily of methane but also containing significant quantities of ethane, propane, and butane. It is colorless, odorless, and combustible. Natural gas is an important source of energy, used for applications like electricity generation, heating, cooking, and as a chemical industry feedstock.

Composition:

• Primarily made of methane (70-90%) with varying amounts of ethane, propane, and butane. Traces of CO2, N2, H2S also present.

Specifications:

• Our natural gas meets international quality standards for Wobbe number, heat content, impurity levels, etc.

Sources:

• We source domestic natural gas from fields in Sheberghan, Andkhoy, and elsewhere in Afghanistan.

Transportation:

• Piped to cities through high-pressure transmission lines and distributed through lower-pressure distribution pipelines.
• Can also be transported as liquefied natural gas (LNG) by tanker trucks.

End Uses:

• Popular residential cooking and heating fuel. Also used for power generation, and industrial processes like manufacturing fertilizers.
• As compressed CNG for vehicles.

Markets:

• Supplied to industries, power plants, commercial users, and homes via heavy-duty bulk tankers.
